LCD TV Repair

Facing LCD TV repairs can be a daunting task.  It’s very frustrating to spend thousands of dollars on a piece of high tech equipment just to have it malfunction or die completely within a few years sometimes within a few months.  Many times a manufactures warranty will cover LCD TV repairs in the first year.  Much depends upon the manufacture.  When it comes to resolving your LCD TV repairs a warranty is only as good as the company backing it up.  Know who you are buying from.

Some simple repairs can be accomplished by reading the Owner’s Manual and following instructions step by step.  Resolving the issue may be as easy as changing some setting, possibly updating drivers or firmware.

LCD TV repair forums are available on the web however you don’t really know the quality of the advice or the knowledge of the person sharing.  On the other hand I’ve seen advice so technical it’s like trying to decipher a foreign language with no translation dictionary.

Let’s face it… It’s usually best to have an expert who is certified in LCD TV repair tackle the job for you.  Most do it yourselfers just don’t have the technical knowhow or the diagnostic equipment to do the job correctly.  Most people hate to shell out a couple hundred dollars to have the TV repaired but it’s better than having to spend thousands to buy a new one.  Be sure to confirm the technician is certified for LCD TV repairs by the manufacturer of your TV before you take your TV in for repair.
